How to add or update cardholders on your membership

 

How to add or edit cardholders on a Membership* (desktop)

Membership includes a complimentary card, free of charge

  1. Sign in to your online account

  2. Open the Account page

  3. Under the Membership section, select the Additional Cardholders link

  4. Choose to "Add" or "Edit" a complimentary or add-on cardholder

  5. Enter the required info and click the [Save] button to finalize the change(s)

  6. The browser will return to My Membership Summary page, please review your changes

  7. A new or replacement membership card can be picked up at the Membership Desk on your next visit to the club. The cardholder must be present and will be required to provide a government issued form of ID

*Only the primary account holder can add or remove a cardholder.

 

How to remove or delete Cardholder(s)?

To cancel complimentary or add-on accounts, the primary account holder can visit the Membership Desk in any club or contact us. Only the primary cardholder can delete an add-on.

 

What is an Add-on Membership?

An add-on membership is just like it sounds. Not a primary or complimentary cardholder, but an additional prorated Membership ($45), ideal for businesses or large families.

  • Sam's Club Members may obtain up to eight (8) Add-on Memberships for an additional fee, $45 for each Add-on

  • Sam's Plus Members may obtain up to sixteen (16) additional Add-on Club-level Memberships for an additional fee, $45 for each Add-on

    • Plus Add-ons are a Club Membership not a Plus Membership

  • Add-on Memberships include a card for the Primary Add-on Member and an Add-on Complimentary Household Cardholder

  • The Membership period for Add-on Member will coincide with the Primary Member's membership period. The Membership fee for Add-On Member added after the Primary Member may be prorated

 

How does a new cardholder receive their Membership card?

As a new Sam's Club member and cardholder, you have two options to access and receive your membership card:

  • Download the app and enter your membership account information for instant access to the Digital Membership Card

  • Visit any club Member Service Desk with a valid state-issued ID and your membership number to receive a physical membership card

 

Does each cardholder need their own online or app account?

Yes.  Each cardholder has a unique 17-digit membership number linked to their own app and online account. If you need help finding or verifying your account information like Membership number, please contact us.
