About Needhelppayingbills.

Needhelppayingbills is an organization that provides people a place to get information on assistance programs. Learn about grant money, charities that offer financial help, free items and more. We also provide general financial advice around budgeting, saving, investing, and other self-sufficiency topics.

The organizations listed on the website offer a number of services to low-income families. We show their phone numbers, addresses, and we note the type of verified help they provide. We have information on thousands of non-profit agencies, charities, government organizations and churches that offer financial assistance programs or free items to people in need. We also have information on financial services offered directly to consumers from private companies such as utility companies and credit counselors.

Needhelppayingbills company is made up of both full time employees as well as contractors. Almost all of the staff have years of experience in volunteering and/or working at organizations that help the less fortunate. Our CEO, Jon McNamara has over 15 years experience in assisting low to moderate income families as well as people seeking financial advice. He started the company, including NHPB LLC, back in 1998. Jon and his team are also involved in other businesses.

Needhelppayingbills started in 2008

Since 2008 we have provided services to hundreds of thousands of families through our website. While not everyone will find the help they need as resources are limited and some people have realistic expectations, the fact is the programs listed on the site all do their best to help the less fortunate - as do we at Needhelppayingbills.

We also have staff with multiple years of experience at needhelppayingbills.com that help us develop and improve the site on an ongoing basis as well as contribute content, with all the p[rograms and agencies being closely reviewed for accuracy. All content is reviewed by our CEO. Jon also has an extensive background in finance and budgeting and he stresses living within your means.

Almost all of contractors at needhelppayingbills (NHPB) have worked for charity organizations and/or non-profits or have volunteered at some point in their life, including with Saint Vincent de Paul, the United Way, and other local charities. We only employ people that have some form of social cause.

Locate the financial support you need

Millions of Americans are struggling, and many of them are facing financial difficulties for the first time in their lives. Struggles happen to many people or families at some point in their life. Some households are trying to make the almost impossible decision every month over whether they should pay their rent, utilities, mortgage, or buy their groceries or a needed prescription. Many people are facing evictions, foreclosure, bankruptcy, or are close to having their utilities disconnected.

The information you find on Needhelppayingbills, all of which is of course free and verified, may be able to help you and your family make it through a difficult period. Learn about financial assistance programs such as LIHEAP, section 8 housing, free legal aid, daycare vouchers, hardship grants or eviction prevention. A number of services are also available that can help people gain longer term self-sufficiency through job training or other employment services.

Most of the organizations and programs listed have limited funding. Many resources will also have qualifications that need to be met, or an application that may need to be completed. Unfortunately not everyone will be able to qualify for help. Since funding is limited, even if you do qualify for a program, there may not be any funds available. Also any financial assistance provided will tend to be only for a portion of your bills and expenses, as most non-profit agencies will only contribute partial funding.

Partners

No, we could not develop or maintain this site without the support of many others. We work closely with national charities, including the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, and various community action agencies. Another partner is the local United Way offices on the financial information.

We also partner closely with hundreds of local charities, churches, non-profits, and even “for-profit” companies (such as utility providers) in an effort to help as many low income families as possible. Another partner is FeedingAmerica.

We also have information on medical services, free community clinics, and specialized programs for low income families. To ensure this information is accurate and screen, Needhelppayingbills.com works with these groups. Some of the partners include:

We also have a number of other medical and health care partners we work with.
