Website is basically unusable

Website is basically unusable. They have thousands of frames but adding a simply filter like "black" returns no results. Extra filters are added randomly and then cannot be removed. I would not trust my personal information to a site so badly programmed.

Worst Customer Service


Worst Customer Service . I placed an order and after 3 months the order finally delivred and the order was wrong even the frames have scratched the Customer service do not reply to my emails or text messages and didn't answer the calls I have called them so many times . The Manager's name is Sam was so rude and I cant beleive how the hell this person became the manager he even ask me for more money. which i has to pay since he was not canelling my order and i have paid over $300.00 already
My question was when will i get my frames
His reply was after 3 weeks if there is no complications
I got the snapshots for this conversation. I will never use this website to buy anythinng
I hope this website shutdown soon
Please don't use this website every again

Frames and lenses cheap and lenses were made incorrectly

The lenses were made incorrectly. Unlike other online Rx eyeglass stores, this company does not offer a full refund on glasses and leases that are defective, even though they say they do. They only offer 50%refund and 50% store credit. They also say they offer pre-paid return label, but they don’t.

The glasses I received were cheaply made, the lenses rattled in the frames and felt like cheap plastic and were made incorrectly.

Never will I shop here again. Buyer, beware!

Poor lens results/horrible cust svc

Had several conversations,e-mails to get my Rx & questions answered.Having a stronger prescription, wearing glasses since I was 8, and have had a dozen new prescription lenses. eyeglasses dot com is the first with lenses that corrected my vision to maybe 20/30 at best. Contacted 3 times,never reaching a person, left with leaving mssgs w/ order# never got a response.Unless your Rx correction is minimal, go ELSEWHERE.Horrible cust svc! Poor lense results!

So far so Good

I say "so far so good" because I have not yet received my glasses. That said, the experience I just had with a service/sales person at Eyeglasses.com was very professional and pleasant. By comparison, I tried to do business with a competitor this morning (Designer Optics) and realized that I was dealing with a company to be avoided. As the eyeglass/sunglasses retail vertical seems to have ethics problems, I recommend avoiding the low cost vendors. There seems to be a fair price out there that runs about 15% - 20% higher than the lowest advertised price points (which turn out not to be real). If my glasses arrive in the next week, I'll be happy. If it takes several weeks, then c 'est la vie. At least I'm confident I'm going to get them!

SCAM SITE - if you really need glasses go to Walmart

Just like many others, I ordered my “in stock” frames in December, but I still don’t have them. It’s now March and they keep stringing me along saying that the frames have been backordered, and the manufacturer will have them at a later date. Well the thing is…these frames haven’t been produced in years! I asked them about that with the original delay, and they reassured me they could get the frames. So I waited.

I had to contact them after the original deadline passed, which was February 29th. Then they stated it will be another month before they could get the frames…meanwhile I have no glasses and I used last year’s insurance to buy these. Unfortunately, due to lay offs in the tech industry, I no longer have eye insurance and now I have no glasses.

Poor customer service

I ordered three frames… and they charged me twice! I got a bill for over $800. When I called customer service, there were no apologies, just a matter of fact “yes, we charged you twice”. When I asked if they could offer a discount or coupon for future orders for the heart attack they caused me when I saw the double charge, they said no because I had already used a discount when I purchased the glasses. Poor customer retention!

My overall experience was excellant

I ordered a pair of Ray Ban RB2132 Wayfarer prescription glasses. I know some Ray Ban frames are now made in China. I asked where my RB2132's were made and they quickly replied it is the Italy product which I preferred. Maybe there is no difference, but I did get the Italy made frames. The timeline was 24 days from order to delivery but in the end, the product is as promised in the Ray Ban case and prescription was perfect. The Xtractive transition lenses work great also. The pricing was reasonable being I got some expensive options. I would order from them again.

Nice

WOW! What a wonderful location to buy eyeglasses.

My entire life, I've paid outrageous fees for spectacles. This website offers a fantastic range in addition to top brands, effective service, and incredibly low prices.


Prices for the same frames that I bought on this website from my optometrist were 60% more.

There is no doubt in my mind that I will return.

Completely Satisfied, Highly Recommend

Sent frames to be filled with prescription. First experience buying glasses online and I was skeptical, but couldn't be more pleased with results. Received glasses within 2 weeks and no-line bifocals were perfect. Since lenses cost less than eyeglasses store, even got upgrades. Glass wearer for years and this was my easiest purchasing experience ever and with the best results. Will definitely be purchasing from Eyeglasses.com again!

Forget two year warranty

If you'r like most people and have an eye examination once a year, and have 2 or more prescription glasses, then don't ever buy the 2 year scratch warranty.
They will remake the lens if scratched, but it will be to your old prescription not the new one your eyes got adjusted to.

Easiest conversation with a…

Easiest conversation with a representative I have ever had. Did have issue with phone calls. They were unable to hear me the first 4 times, until I used a different method of calling. Apparently, can't reach them using an IP phone on Google. Anyway, asked about the frames I needed, got the answers. Then made the order. Had an expected arrival time. Items came in two days ahead of schedule and were directly shipped from manufacturing and did not need to go to Eyeglass.com before hand for quality inspection. This was possibly due to no need for prescription for lenses.

Compete scam

Compete scam. Pkaced my order in March 2023, was told that the frame is back ordered and will be available on May 20. My card was charged and I accepted to wait.
In early June my order was cancelled because “manufacturer discontinued this frame”. My payment was refunded but lower amount than what was paid. Stay away from this fraudulent and scamming business.

This was my first time shopping online…

This was my first time shopping online for prescription eyeglasses so I was skeptical at first but I could not be more pleased with the quality of the lenses and frames. I have very high power (-5.50) and require Transitions+AR; my glasses came within 2 weeks.

Initially prior to placing the order, the customer service was almost impossible to get a hold of but somehow I got lucky with a phone call and an email. I would recommend 100% and will continue to shop here for future glasses.

Super long delivery and poor customer experience

We paid the extra $9 for special handling/expedited service and still had to wait 3 weeks for delivery. We also did not receive the clip-ons that were supposed to come with the frames. When we tried to contact customer servie, the chat doesn't work and when you call...you wait on hold forever only to get an automated voice recording telling you to email them for help.

Honestly wasn't expecting such a great…

Honestly wasn't expecting such a great result, but I sent my Sunglass Frames in for new bifocal lenses and they were returned exactly to my specifications on bifocal placement. I had sent along my old lenses to help get the placement right and everything was returned to me including the non prescription Sunglass lenses that were popped out for the new ones!
Great Job! Tried them out driving yesterday and the view is much improved!

SCAM

It has been a month and still nothing has shipped. I guess if you want your prescription expired before you get you glasses....

Update: I contested the charges and received an email from them. They claimed they sent me 2 emails from customer support informing me of shipping delays. I don't get why they would lie about something that is easily tracked but they apparently aren't very good scammers.

Couldn't even order

Got all the way to the cart to look at the price as I am researching lens replacement companies. I saw a cleaning and alignment fee I did not ask for nor do I want. I am perfectly capable of cleaning my glasses. I emailed them about it and they informed me they "cannot" (they can, they just won't) remove the charge from my cart or tell me how to remove it causing me to not be able to order because I do not order with companies that charge hidden fees and then refuse to remove it or let the customer remove it. Another unprofessional "business" lurking around online. Looks like this company can only get orders if they pray on unsuspecting first time customer's orders. That's why I always check trust pilot and site jabber prior to conducting business.

The Lenses were faulty from the…

The Lenses were faulty from the beginning,Right lens cracked shortly after receiving them and were replaced,then the left lens cracked a couple months later and the right lens was visibly scratched,when I returned them I was told that the left would be replaced but they would not replace the right one under warranty! I paid for the anti scratch crystal coating but I don't believe it was applied. What a horrible experience! The staff at the Westport Ct store was very rude! I will never buy anything from them again!
