Great company to do business with!

Absolutely no issues in my dealings with APMEX. APMEX always ships when they say they will or sooner. Any delays in delivery are due to delays at USPS or UPS. But even they communicate the delays.

Apmex is the 800-pound gorilla in the precious metals space. They are legit and I use them for both physical storage via Citadel which they own. I have also purchased from them for direct delivery.

Apmex also owns the OneGold platform where I purchased my gold and selected the Royal Canadian Mint as the depository for that. Their premiums are higher, but they will work with you on that if you purchase often like I do.

Apmex lies

Don't buy anyone thing from this company as they are misleading and liar on what is being advertised. They show a picture of $1 coins of George Washington in a secured bank roll.
That's not what you get at all. They break those rolls if they had it even to begin with and just give you the $1 gold coins they don't want.
Regardless their website is false advertising what you are buying.
I have pictures of what their website offers and what you get in the mail yet it won't let me attach pictures to his review.
You definitely don't get a bank roll $1 George Washington coins.
You still get 25 Gold coins of George Washington $1. Yet it all the same markings on each side which are the coins that aren't special or worth more money as they took those ones and gave the ones they don't want yet charged you twice for coins that won't every be worth more than $1.

Overall you end up getting your order

Overall you end up getting your order. However, latest order has been delayed for two weeks which is a long time for them to hold your money, but their quality is great. I ordered in April. It's now May and they said they lost the ticket. It is figured out but very annoying.

Unreliable Delivery Service

USPS refuses to come to my door for Signature items (I am a Cripple) so I paid extra for UPS Brown Truck Signature delivery. My order was lost or stolen...never received. Now I must wait up to 6 weeks for the Investigation. I cannot do anything. Now the Waiting begins. Not happy.

Blacklisted by APMEX for undelivered order and chargeback

I made about a dozen purchases at APMEX over the years.
However, this time when I bought bullion, UPS signed and faked delivery, so I never actually received my order.
I filed a claim, but got no traction because UPS forged/typed my name.
I waited, no resolution.
Then, I opened consumer dispute through credit card company.
Then, in retaliation, APMEX blacklisted me from buying with them again.
Based on those facts, I would not recommend using APMEX.
They don’t understand customer lifetime value.

Ordered a decent amount of silver and…

Ordered a decent amount of silver and they didnt put the line 2 address with my unit number on the package. Usps was unable to deliver. I emailed and called Apmex and no one responded to me for 10 days. They said they had proof of the address being correct. I went to speak with the post master who found my package 10 days later, not with the fill address. Closed on the weekends, not a good sign. Very bad customer service and not honest with me.

APMEX Rocks!

I have been an APMEX customer for nearly a decade. They have always been 100% accurate in fulfilling my orders. Their prices are competitive, their selection is second to none, their phone reps are friendly and helpful, their website is simple are responsive. What more could you ask for? How about a no-hassle replacement for an order lost by the postal service? I've had that experience as well. I watched the tracking progress. It was in no way the fault of APMEX, and yet, they sent a replacement with no hassle whatsoever. APMEX rocks!

NEVER TRY SELLING TO THEM

NEVER TRY SELLING TO THEM. I purchased a "premium mint direct" grade set from them years ago, and inquired what their current buy price would be. They offered 38% lower than what the coins were selling for on their own site (barely even spot price). Any coin or pawn shop would easily beat them. STAY AWAY.

After 80,000$

After 80,000$, worth of buying gold precious metal from this company over the years. I lost my 1st shipment of gold coins from apmex and immediately denied any help after all the evidence submitted to them points to a stolen package. And after police investigation points to a stolen package as well. This company won't even lift a finger to help its customer and Denied the claims to its insurer. My advice is there are a lot more company out there that sells precious metal. Steer clear of this one. Customer services sucks!!! This matter is under litigation.

DO NOT USE APMEX

I have ordered several times through the APMEX app. I noticed my orders getting “cancelled” BY APMEX after I already paid and received my items. I contacted customer support and was told there was an inventory discrepancy and that I would receive “refunds if available” and also “$20 credit to be used by phone”. I received the items that, according to them, I didn’t receive? Now I am obligated by the terms I unknowingly agreed to, to pay whatever market loss THEY may receive(greater of $50 or 5% of order). My orders keep disappearing which takes away from my credits earned on orders and they disappear completely. DO NOT USE APMEX!!!

Terrible order fulfillment

I ordered eight 1987 American eagles and received four 1987 and four 2023 silver eagles. Sent back the 2023 silver eagles and today received three 1987 and one 1997 silver eagle. Have contacted the company and have yet to hear back as to their solution and more importantly why so many errors and I should be compensated for the problems they have caused.

Apmex doesn't care about it's customers and neither does UPS

I ordered a sizeable amount of gold and silver. The delivery method was UPS. I got a message that the delivery had been made and I actually wasn't who it was delivered to. UPS claims someone walked up truck and asked package. Driver asked for id and allowed a stranger to take my package. When UPS and APMEX were contacted, neither one helped as a matter of fact APMEX knowing I never received my gold and silver denied the insurance claim and didn't help one iota, as far as a customer oriented resolution... Absolutely horrible. I'm out my 20+ thousand and no gold or silver. Apmex did nothing for me as a customer who actually did nothing wrong. Lawyers to follow I guess. Not good business at all.

Do not pay APMEX via BitPay bitcoin. They will cancel your transaction and steal your crypto and then claim the transaction is invalid even though you can see hundreds of confirmations on the blockchain

They try to charge you extra money if…

They try to charge you extra money if you mail a check and it doesn’t get there in there exact time frame..Then they can hold up all your orders if you do not pay a fine if they decide gold or silver went up during that time.But I’m sure they wont give you money if it goes down during that time.I like bullion exchanges way better.F99K APMEX.

1 oz coin to UK

I ordered a 1 oz coin to be sent to the UK. It arrived a couple of days later than scheduled. But I can say the experience was exceptional, also UPS whom delt with the transportation, customs and duty, did so very professionally. I would definitely recommend and intend to use again. Do not believe these negative comments.

Ordered a 1 oz bar

Ordered a 1 oz bar. Shipped quickly via USPS. Never left the OKC USPS facility. Likely stolen by an employee. Sounds like this is a frequent occurence per some of the reviews. After not receiving it APMEX did an investigation. Took several weeks. Came back as lost. Another week to refund my payment. Since then the prices have increased. I have to spend an additional $50 to buy same item. I think not. Looking for another dealer.

Canceled three orders by credit card…

Canceled three orders by credit card for no reason. First, they told me it was the bank (credit card issuer); the bank confirmed it was not them. Then APMEX told me it was because my billing address for the credit card was wrong and they would fix that. Finally they told me (third call to customer service) that I had to establish a history of paying by other methods such as wire before they would accept my credit card. This is the only vendor I have ever had a problem with; perfect credit and long history with credit card use. Avoid APMEX and find someone who appreciates your business.

Unscrupulous thieves

Simply, the worst, most expensive, unscrupulous medal company. They are thieves who steal and lie. I accidently hit buy and tried to cancel a gold coin and was informed of no refunds. They debited my bank account immediately and sent an ugly dirty double eagle. AVOID THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE CRIMINALS!
