RUN away from this horrible company

RUN away from this horrible company! Ordered product on 4/10/2024 - (3) pairs of glasses for over $1,000. Guaranteed delivery within 7 business days. Day 7 today. Had to call the company to find out there was manufacturing defect in (2) pairs. They have no idea when they will deliver these (2) pairs now even though they are holding my money. Asked them why they would not expedite the manufacturing and put my defective glasses ahead of other orders???? The Customer Service Manager to me: "Because you should be GLAD we held your order and didn't ship defective glasses. YOUR order is just one of thousands. We make 98% of glasses correctly. YOUR order is just a 'perfect storm' so just be glad we didn't ship them." Seriously? What the Living F*, Warby Parker?! Cancelled my order and returned all the the products. HORRRIBLE COMPANY AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I love their product and pricing

I love their product. Great price, good fashion, and easy to get delivered.

The main pain points are that they don't accept all insurances, and they don't fix old glasses by replacing lens. It's such a waste that new frame is almost the same as getting an old pair replaced.

Otherwise, I am a big fan of them

Frames are very fragile

A pair of prescription sunglasses that I purchased less than 4 years ago fell on the floor and the frames cracked in half. I kept them in a case when I’m was not wearing them and took good care of my glasses. The store was able to put the lenses back into a new frame of the same type but charged me as much as a new pair would have cost including lenses. This was a rip-off price and they did not issue an apology. They explained that their glasses are biodegradable which was a quite obvious!

Excellent Customer Service

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Warby Parker. The first frame I ordered was too big and the nose pads were uncomfortable. They happily accepted the return in exchange for a different pair, which sadly ended up being too small. Again, they accepted the return and shipped out my exchange pair the next day! I also ordered a second pair that I've already received and I love. I've never seen such quick service from an online glasses retailer. Normally, I receive my glasses from them within 9 days, sometimes even faster.
Admittedly, my prescription is not particularly strong, so I'm able to go with the polycarbonate lenses. Haven't had a problem with the prescription at all, which is more than I can say for other retailers who've gotten the prescription basically right, but sometimes with a very narrow range in the lens through which I can see comfortably. With the lenses from WB, I've had no issues with distortion or strain.
I enjoy the at-home try on (which wasn't available for the first two pairs that I had to exchange, otherwise I'd have used it), and I was able to settle on a pair I know will fit my face and look great because of that feature.
The app is great too. The virtual try on is pretty accurate, give or take a couple millimeters maybe.
And they accept my vision insurance without me needing to submit to my insurance company for reimbursement. They apply the insurance to replacements too. It makes the experience very easy and I appreciate that.
Over all, I really like Warby Parker and am excited to get more glasses from them. I've even got my husband interested in getting some frames from them as well!

Easy to Find Glasses to Love

I love the virtual try-on! I have two pairs of glasses now and both fit exactly like their virtual versions. I have used virtual try-ons from other companies and they are a joke. Warby Parker's virtual try-on is reliable and works like it should. It's really phenomenal.

My only suggestion is to offer a progressive reader option for non-prescription customers... readers on the bottom for my phone, no power on the top for TV. I couldn't find a way on the site or in the app to order something like that without a prescription.

Lots of money gets you poor lens

I purchased for the first time from WP a new set of progressive lenses last year. They cost almost $500 and were the worst pair of glasses ever. The lower reading portion on the bottom of the lens was so tiny making them unusable for reading. The store provided no satisfaction. Glasses purchased from Googles4U were substantially less in price and provided a better reading field. I was told by the WP salesperson that my lens choice should have been a larger lens size to allow for more space in the lower area. I'm never going back.

Very happy with this company

Both the eye exam and eyeglass purchase were a pleasant trouble free experience. The sales rep at the Montvale NJ store ( Angel ) was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. My only negative is that their policy does not allow the reuse of their own frames when getting new lenses.

Genuinely the best experience I…

Genuinely the best experience I could’ve asked for. It was quick, I got updates along the way, and they painlessly replaced the first pair I ordered that didn’t fit well.

The glasses also feel really well made. I ordered them because my ray bans broke after a month and their support is awful. Was left without glasses for months because of them- Until my Warby Parker ones arrived. I still don’t have usable ray bans AND had to pay them additional money :(

You have gained me as a lifelong customer :)

Cancelling an order is difficult

Please note that warby parker service to cancel an order is the slowest, I have made the mistake of buying from them. I went to check on their site to see how to cancel and they say to call, email or chat. I had tried to chat and email. Their chat system is horrible and doesn't notify you if someone responds. I get someone who says they will cancel then, later when I noticed they did send me that a new person is there the day after and they said it is automatic 1 hour processing of non prescription glasses. Which is not clearly written on the site before purchasing (otherwise I wouldn't have bought it unless I wanted to go through the hassle). Then says they can only give me a return label for full refund. I feel like this process was way too drawn out and customer service too slow for what should have also been an automatic cancellation.

Does not include vertical measurements…

Does not include vertical measurements in dimensions in spite of multiple requests over a decade. If you write for specifics, they reply but it wastes too much time for consumers and presumably for WP.

Very satisfied with Warby Parker!

As stated by another reviewer, the bad reviews have me stumped. I have had an outstanding experience asking to try 2 sets (5 prs each) of glasses, buying 3, returning 2, exchanging 1. I had difficulty deciding which prescription/glasses would best meet my needs. Every step of the way the service could not have been better. I have always found them to be friendly, knowledgeable and efficient - offering service that made my part easy. Happy camper here - and I love my new specs!

Store error and I have to pay for it?

I ordered two pairs of eyeglasses, one photochromic. That same day I called to add blue light blocking. I was not informed that photochromic lenses cannot have blue light blocking.
My eyeglasses arrived and the one I specified was not photochromic. I called the store and 888 number and was informed there would be an up charge of $50. Why? It was store error in not providing me with correct information. It’s the principle - No taking responsibility for a sales associate who failed to inform me and cancelled my photochromic lens order without informing me.
So now what?

Poor experience and Eye Exam

I went into the store predisposed to liking Warby Parker. I was very disappointed in the service and exam. The exam cost $110 while a comparable exam at See was only $79 and $69 at Walmart. The optometrist tried to sell me more expensive bifocal/transition lens even though I told her I did not want them. I do not believe the prescription was right as I could see better with my glasses from 2014 with a prescription by an ophthalmologist. The glasses also were very uncomfortable--the staff person was very nice and tried to find a comfortable frame but we could not identify one.

Go to LensCrafters

Probably most annoying customer service experience I have ever had. I was notified, via email, that my appointment was cancelled because of a text I never sent. I didn't even know there was a number to text. I really don’t understand this, but this issue could’ve been avoided if I had just been emailed that my contact lenses were ready to be picked up, instead of waiting over a month to find that my phone number was entered wrong.

The home try-on is a GREAT service!

Warby Parker makes buying glasses online so easy! I used the home try-on, chose six frames and ended up purchasing two pair of glasses with progressive lenses (one regular and one sunglasses). I love them! They look great, feel great and were 50% less than getting them through my optometrist. Warby Parker knows how to streamline processes!

Pretty bad experience

With multiple attempts and good experience few years back I am done with Warby Parker. They can’t get my prescription lenses correct with multiple attempts and then refuse to take them back or exchange to plain lenses. Staff at most locations is rude and arrogant, not sure where is comes from.

I ordered contacts from Warby Parker…

I ordered contacts from Warby Parker and they initially delivered to the wrong address. When I paid an expedited fee to get them to the correct address they charged me. They now say that my contacts are back ordered and don’t know when they will ship. They offered no solutions. Terrible experience go to your local eye doctor because this corporation does not care about their consumer. It’s been a month and I have received neither contacts nor reimbursement. Customer service was terrible and basically told me they don’t care about my business.

They are offering a sale on buying two…

They are offering a sale on buying two pairs of glasses , which I did but they didn't give me the discount price because I didn't buy them in the same day. Guess what they want to do instead. They want to take them back for a return and then I can repurchase. How much of a waste of resources is that? Plus I wasn't even asking for a refund on the first pair. I just wanted the discount on the second pair. They have horrible policies in the customer service Is terrible, but I will return both pairs and then re purchase, and they could pay for shipping six times instead of once. How is this environmentally friendly? My glasses are progressive so they're already the most expensive. I was very valuable customer. For 5 years. I've had eye exams and glasses from there, and this is how they treat me.

Have now owned about 4 pairs of Parker…

Have now owned about 4 pairs of Parker glasses. Every single set of lenses have scratched within the first month of purchase. Not even under any significant mis-handling or misuse. And they all develop this weird film over the lenses two, like a portion of the glass itself sheers off or something. Add to this the fact that they need your current lenses to make new ones, meaning if you only have 1 pair of glasses they expect you to send them your current lenses and be blind until you get yours. Unbelievable. Never again.

Everything but the glasses

I wish the glasses were even half as good as the marketing, user experience, and store design. Their innovation is not the product, but the "warby parker" effect. If you want nice glasses there are beautiful craftsman independent brands at high end boutiques around the world.
