I loved looking after the four adorable cats, making friends with Angela and Drew, and discovering the beautiful Dordogne countryside. I think it’s wonderful to have a exchange between strangers built uniquely on trust, this is so precious and quite humbling.

I have used HouseSitMatch both as a pet sitter and home owner. My most recent experience as with all the previous ones was excellent. I like the fact that when joining I could speak to Lamia and she was able to give me very useful information and help if I needed it. It’s a great system and works very well to connect home owners and pet sitters. All have to be security checked which gives great confidence especially when leaving someone you’ve never met with your house and pets. I would highly recommend housesitmatch and will continue to use them myself.

We have been a member of HouseSit Match for a couple of years using it to find all sitters for weekends and longer breaks. We feel confident that anyone who messages us through the secure platform has been fully vetted and approved and everyone we have met have all been people we have felt totally confident about leaving in charge of not only our dogs but also our house and lands. We have recommended them to friends who need dog sitters and also those who want to enjoy a holiday in an interesting home.
The owner is very active in vetting both home owners and sitters and the whole team is very reliable.

Housesitmatch is big enough to offer plenty of wonderful opportunities both in the UK and Europe especially, but small enough to be personal and friendly. The availability of Lamia the owner of the site is really unique. Her willingness to help out one to one is a great encouragement and support to beginners especially, be they a house owner or sitter. I am both a house exchanger since 2000 and house sitter since the mid 2010's, so I speak with a lot of experience. Be patient and you will be delighted with the results.

Post retirement, with time flexibility, I'm attracted to the low out of pocket cost of a housesit. I was a bit anxious to start, but the HSM website made it incredibly easy to find and set up a match. The administrative side was clear and covered the right issues, but not at all burdensome. All the advance prep was straightforward. Then, when I arrived at the house, I could not have been more pleased. The houseowner left clear instructions so I knew exactly what my role was. The house itself was a dream: lovely, quiet, comfortable, well equipped, and centrally located. Because of this service, I was able to travel and have a much-needed new experience.

I had the most wonderful time caring for Molly, a beautiful, sweet, clever labrador in Chesham, UK. Molly was a joy to care for and she was affectionate, playful and loved her walks and ball throwing and tug-o-war. Chesham is a beautiful area with lovely fields for dog walking and Jan is kind and considerate and her cottage is lovely and comfortable. I look forward to a return sit in October 2023.

Currently I'm working in a grad scheme for a small company, and so I've found finding a place to stay in air BnB or a hotel for a week, out of my budget.

In comes HouseSit Match, the ideal solution for finding a place to stay away from home, without the additional cost of finding accommodation.

Someone who's used the site before recommended it to and so I had a look, and found a great little house sit on the edge of Bristol, looking after two little dogs for a week.

Getting in was super easy, and the owner gave a whistle stop tour of the house which perfectly set us up for an easy and relaxed week.

The house was on a lovely and quiet street which made a nice change, and allowed for some lovely walks to the local parks.

The week went by very peacefully and without incident and I have to recommend House Sit Match, as an excellent vendor for finding great little getaways!

Since my first experience, I been on another weekend away and will keep a look out in the future.

Housesitmatch has been the answer to our travel plans. Every house-sitter we’ve had has been reliable, friendly and looked after our dog and home as if it were their own.
The company is efficient and professional and makes sure that house-sitters and home owners are completely satisfied with their service.
The website is easy to use but there is always someone to answer your queries if you need help. Lamia, the owner, gives such a personal service to all her clients.

This is my second pet sit with Housesitmatch. My first was in a small town in the south of France, and my second in Buckinghamshire, UK. Initially, I was mostly interested in spending time with the animals I was going to be looking after while traveling and working, but during my time I realised it was also a unique opportunity to visit places I hadn’t been to, test a new lifestyle away from the city and meet new people. Lamia is always there to help, and the members are thoroughly screened, making for a great community of both pet owners and sitters.

House sit needs to prepare hosts better. There should be a typewritten authorization
For the house sitter to stay there plus a list of contacts such as Veterinarian, house cleaner, shops car rental medical
Roger and rain have been absolutely fantastic at supplying these via what’s Ap, but it means I am constantly bothering him which I don’t like doing.
Otherwise housesit has been very accessible to address issues and I will supply. a review at end of stay

I have been a sitter on Housesit Match for nearly three years now.
I have duck sat for 20 Indian runners and their babies in Hereford, cat sat for some gorgeous but crazy Burmese beauties in South Notts, Corgi sat in the most amazingly gorgeous farmhouse in Chesham and am about to Labrador sit over Easter.
I just wish I had more time available to sit for more people.
Every person has been so kind and helpful and they always leave the basics of food so there’s no immediate need for shopping.
There’s always a Teams meeting to get to know the owners and their animals and how they like their houses and pets to be looked after.
House sit Match have fabulous sits available.
I would recommend them to anyone.

I loved my recent house/cat sit through Housesitmatch.com. The site was very easy to use and the messaging to/from the Pet owner was efficient and we quickly set up a rapport. The Pet-owner had used the guidance provided to leave thorough instructions on the Cats' feeding regimes, their daily behaviours and details on central heating, spare keys etc. So I was completely at home and enjoying the cuddles by the wood-burner with the cats! I can't recommend this network enough!

We've been with HouseSit Match for about a year now and we've had nothing but positive experiences with it. Lamia, the website owner, is personable and communicative. When we started, she went out of her way to give us some great advice (as we were new to it) and ensured we had a great experience with it. She works hard to get a wide range of choices for the website and although we can't always make it abroad, there's been choices from the UK to a variety of places in Europe. A very recommended website.
