Not successful in any way with 2 different jobs advertised

We weren't successful in any way with either my job seeking elder care for my parents nor care for my disabled son. I did reach out to a couple of candidates and I only got a few responses and each was saying they had other jobs now. Also, I had emailed care.com and said that we weren't have any luck and wanted to cancel our membership at renewal time but I got no help and now my son's special needs bank account has been charged for another quarterly fee.

The system and services seem to be…

The system and services seem to be pretty good but navigating some of the pages (what falls under what catagory) and events can be confusing to find ie. I use the app to log in but can't find caregiver review, every message seems to loop around to logging in again over already being logged in. Maybe I just need to spend more time "exploring" the system.

Fraudulent Sign up Constant Emails

The website does not require the users email to be verified before they begin to send messages. Someone signed up using my email and solicited jobs. Now my inbox is full of spam from potential "workers". The service never requested the person to verify email.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Initial sign up page states that the subscription is monthly but you can pay for the year up front and that you can cancel the subscription at any time but will not refund you if you do. Extremely misleading business practices.

Too expensive

Too expensive. You go through the whole process to post a job, at no point does it say how much you have to pay to access replies. You can't even see availability or qualifications without paying £25. I understand that they don't want to divulge contact info without paying the membership fee, but we should be able to at least see if the replies are from qualified and relevant posters, and view the (limited) profiles without paying. Should have been transparent upfront!!

I interviewed 7 people

I interviewed 7 people. Out of the 7 I gave 3 a second interview. I hired all 3. Two of them showed up for their first day scheduled. One never showed nor reached out. The other quit after 2 days, he found a better paying job. I understand moving on to more money however he should have finished out his schedule. The last is fantastic exceeded expectations!

Bizarre site, get kicked out for no reason

The site seemed ok, I paid for 3 months, then it just cancel my membership with a refund a few days later and deleted me. Apparently I don't meet their criteria when I asked why.

I'm looking for a housekeeper and they have housekeeper, it's not like they are a proper agency, they allow individuals looking for work to register and have a profile so people can contact them or apply to work with other people such as myself job adverts, so it basically is an internal job listing site. Expect to suddenly get kicked of with no reason and pray you aren't mid arranging something, you need to pay both sides to contact people, and often people don't reply....

not great for last minute or not full-time care

I specifically needed temporary care for only six weeks but full-time during those six weeks. Nothing on the website allowed me the ability to do that. Even when I needed last minute one daycare, I was given a list of applicants that were available and there wasn’t even any expectation that they were going to respond to me, so I didn’t actually have enough time to book someone last minute like the website advertised.

DUMBBELLS; I HAVE NEVER HIRED A SITTER!!! CARE.COM DOESN'T MONITOR THEIR SITE OR YOU WOULD KNOW I CANCELED SERVICE. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYONE THAT DOESN'T HAVE A SOLID BACKGROUND WITH UNFRIENDLY WEB-SITES!

100% scam

100% scam. Paid $179 for membership because the wife and I was in a pinch for a sitter. Found a sitter, then they charged me $130 for the sitter. I accepted, because we were in a pinch. Sitter message us back and forth and we were all set. 10 minutes before the sitter arrived, Care.com suspended my account for “Community Violation” with no other explanation and no phone number to call. Thank God the sitter still showed up. After talking with the sitter, Care.com only was paying her $75.00. We paid her a $100.00. Had to call my credit card company and Apple and file a fraud report to get our money back.

Be aware of auto-renewal

Be aware of auto-renewal for premium members. This company doesn't have a large database of caregivers in my area (Toronto, Canada), their site is not that user friendly (e.g. worker area not available) and workers are questionable - one applied asking if I could do cash as he didn't have a work permit. As for billing, I cancelled on the last day of my service and discovered I had already been charged for the next month. Went in circles trying to find contact info and two emails received by mailboxes not monitored. Tip - use the Chat feature during business hours to reach someone right away.

My experience has been awful with Care

My experience has been awful with Care. I spoke to a lot of potential babysitters. I had multiple babysitters not show up to interview with me after setting a date and time. Those babysitters never contacted me to cancel, apologize, or show their disinterest in the job. I had a lot of babysitters not want to interview and instead expected me to just leave my kids with them without ever having met them. I saw a handful of babysitters who messaged me to apply for the job, I responded, and then they read the message, but never replied. I got two babysitters to actually interview with me and show up. One was amazing. Unfortunately, she is a college student who is returning home for the time I need a babysitter. The other babysitter I interviewed was great in the interview and said she couldn’t wait to start working for us. After our interview, I messaged her some dates and she never responded to me. I still haven’t heard from her. The whole experience has been very discouraging. I have poured a ton of energy, time, and money into trying to find a babysitter, and we still don’t have one.

My recent experience with Care.com has…

My recent experience with Care.com has not been a positive one. My initial complaint was that I signed up for the $12.99 monthly subscription to be able to contact caregivers and somehow an additional charge was added for background checks which I did not add on. Background checks are not even available to me if I wanted to look at one through the senior care option. Please refund the extra $194.75 charged for background checks that was not requested. If this can not be done, you will lose a customer and gain poor reviews.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. None of the profiles are real and seems it’s just set up to steal your money. They also have an auto-rolling monthly payment which isn’t made clear when signing up for a one off month!!! Deceitful business, don’t waste your time or money

FRAUD ALERT ** Care.com was used only 1 time in Yuma…

Care.com was used only 1 time in Yuma Arizona. My adult son called and cancelled his free trial, and my (his mother's) credit card has been charged month after month for 13 months. When I looked at my statement I thought that CCI charge was for Care Credit, a payment I was making for eye surgery. NOW... CCI is not wanting to credit me back the over $590.00 in charges... I find that totally fraudulent, poor customer service, and down right thievery ! The rep I talked to said , we'll escalate it... and week over week pass... nothing... Yesterday I find out they just denied my request outright. That is NOT right. I will be filing a complaint with the Federal State Fraudulent agency and the Better Business Bureau if I can not get this cleared up now.... Tell me who to reach out to that can help me ???????

your service is a total scam

your service is a total scam. You present that the caregivers have completed background checks, then charge for those background checks.

You dont tell customers that you have to prepay for the services before the work is done, and that the customer doesn't get to interview or screen the selected caregivers before you charge my credit card.

Then you post all over the website several times that you bear no responsibility for the caregivers. So you're a broker?

Total scam.

I love the chat with a staff member…

I love the chat with a staff member feature. That is invaluable. As a caregiver, I believe that paying for the Premium membership fee is worth it. I get a lot of help with my profile when I need to upgrade my skills, change info or make additions to my site. I get great service when I have an issue. their assistance is crucial especially when there is a problem. Also, I know that Premium is worth it as I get the job posting daily. Care is definitely worth the Premium membership.

i HAD MANY choices however took the 1st one, as she lives close by and she is willing to do all that I need done. Plus she has all the information now to make sure I am well taken care of--at first I had no one but her and then a number emailed me.

Bad experience

For starters I actually deleted my acct thst I had for years n had to do a new one. Second the availability doesn't work n it blocks your profiles n third I can't change my rate of pay.
