      In reading other complaints about Synchrony - I am not the only one who has had trouble with “auto pay” I set my account up online (Feb 2024) with my banking information- It appeared their system received and accepted my information- - Autopay was ready to go and payments would be withdrawn the 15th of every month - Before you know it - I’m looking at my online account advising me of a LATE PAYMENT- ALONG WITH A LATE FEE - I call CS and gave them my banking info - The representative advised me my banking information was not found the first time (wondering why if it wasn’t found when I originally set it up why their system accepted it instead of rejecting it ? He entered my banking info in his system and advised me a payment of $37 would come out of my account within a few days- AND the late fee of $ 30 would be waived - I looked for the $37 to be withdrawn from my account - It never posted - SO, I called back - spoke with a CS rep - this time I paid with my Cc - payment posted immediately- I was advised the next months payment would be for the same amount of $37 NO LATE FEES and would be withdrawn using my banking / routing number I originally gave them - She did not see a problem with my information and reassured me everything was fine - It’s funny how the next month (APRIL 2024) their system mysteriously found my banking info , NOT ONLY DID THEY TAKE A MONTHLY PAYMENT - THEY ALSO CHARGED ME ANOTHER LATE FEE ! This is garbage and unacceptable- I spoke with an account manager and of course it went in one of her ears and out the other - So sad - Oh and BTW - I was also asked if I wanted to close my account- I’m sorry - What? No , I don’t want to close my account - I want YOUR AUTOPAY TO WORK CORRECTLY- !!!

      My experience is the same. They take 5 days to process a check after receiving it and mark the account as late payment so they can charge a late fee. I even tried setting it up as an electronic payment and they just did not accept the payment and charged a late fee. I will pay off my balance and never use this company again. Obviously with a 1.05 out of 5 stars from customers Synchrony is not an A+ company. They are an F company. How can they have a rating if they are not a BBB Accredited company?

      I’m on time with every payment and yet Synchrony is stating I owe them money after I closed my Amazon account, (made final payment and closed account.) They’re now saying I owe them money and hurt my credit by their own negligence, simply because they’re incapable of operating as a business. I have submitted a complaint with the company but the best they have done is telling me, “they will look into” the matter. Synchrony are a textbook example of a predatory lender, trying to muscle their way into bleeding you dry.

      Care Credit I was issued a care almost 8yrs ago for 5,000.00. Never was I late on a payment nor did I miss a payment. I was ask to make payments such as 50$ 100$, I would pay 200$ or more. In simple terms I paid more than I was asked and care had been paid off ALWAYS before deadlines. Never an issue on my end. Find out at a dental appt that my Care Credit was CLOSED. Because of these a$$holes. Called today and was told that because of another bill issue this card that has NOTHING to do with care credit they closed and asked me to re-apply. I was went through a horrible divorce were my ex-spouse is responsible for that. I have court doc. But you cancel my card because of something that had nothing to do with them. Example: having your car repo'd because your ex-wife (by court) didn't pay a water bill. *** dumb!! I will NOT use care credit WVER again! They suck...stay away. My opinion they are the worse company ever. I find out in dentist office. Check my pay history with you...and you ONLY and see it great! Wish I could negative stars

      I will never use them again. I just closed my account. I will never use them again. I used care credit to pay for some Dental work. I called to get the accurate info to pay off my balance it took 4 calls and 3 days to be finished. And I still don't feel like it's taken care of after receiving an email this morning. It took time from work on the phone to deal with them. The customer service people are fine, but getting them on the phone took forever. There are tech issues with the phone service. My rating is UGH AND NO THANKS!

      I am very upset with care credit/synchrony bank. I have been a member in my 20's and 30's and NEVER had one problem with your company until my 40's. My husband had a card with you and with NO notice you closed his account. All of a sudden we got an email that it was being closed the day after (dated 4/13) they said they closed it (4/12) with NO NOTICE. Just next level. How can you call yourself 'care credit' when you don't care if an emergency arose and we needed to use your services? I have done customer service for 27 years and have had every credit card on the planet and NEVER experienced nor seen this disgusting behavior. I am VERY upset with this company, google review on the way too and anywhere else I can shame this HORRID company.

      They should be sued. They are purposely negatively effecting credit scores. They dropped my credit score by 90 points. They canceled a credit card that was paid off, and had for years without notice. Then they lowered the limit on my Pepboys card, leaving me just $100 available credit. Damn near maxing me out. Interest rates increases. My Google finance card had a credit limit of $1500, with me carrying a balance of $74. They lowered the limit on that to $100, leaving me damn near maxed out. I had zero interest and now it's 29.95%. When you contact customer service they can only tell you to Wait for a letter that will explain everything. Then if you get a letter it tells you you can dispute it, but if you try to dispute it, they tell you all decisions are finally. We live in a world where we're judged by our credit and this one Bank is taking advantage of us all. Messed me up, was trying to buy a house and they made me unworthy credit wise. This should be a lawsuit

      If I could give a zero I would. I have had an account with this bank through Care Credit and Rooms to GO for more than 4 years...absolutely NEVER late and the first time I requested additional time/hardship payment through the bank, I was denied. As soon as that happened my limit was decreased on my RTG BILL. My Care Credit had been paid off for more than a year and it was closed for no reason. I just paid off my RtG BILL not more than 45 days after asking for an extension and it was immediately closed without warning as well. this has dropped my score by more than 30 points. How does this help anyone? Again, I was never late in the 4 years I had either account. Needless to say if you are reading this stay away and never have a financial issue happen to you.

      Right from the beginning this bank has been bad news. I tried to open a savings account with them several years ago, but they said my application for a savings account was denied!!?? Layer on I tried to open a Care Credit card. Initially it went through, but then they wanted a video of me. Full face and each side profile. They also wanted very clear pictures of driver's license front and back. I became uncomfortable with all this and didn't continue application. Then I got a letter in a very scolding tone telling me my application would be denied. I happen to have a Lowe's credit card . I run zero balance. Now I have a letter telling me I have to pay $ 1.99 for paper bill. I am done! Do not bother having a member of your team contact me. Forgot to mention that mycredit limit was drastically lowered for absolutely no reason.

      I am amongst the many unsatisfied customers of Synchrony regarding decrease in credit limits. For your consumers have been told to keep you credit balance at least half if available credit limit. Most subscribe to that credit theory, but Sychrony doesn't! Instead if rewarding customers for paying down balances or keeping 0 balance accounts, they penalize them! They are not for helping Consumers improve their credit, they are only about themselves and how they can benefit. I just recently closed two accounts with them and will close the third when I pay it off before they can close it because it looks worst when they close it versus when you close because when they close it, it gives the appearance that you've not held to your agreement with them by not paying as agreed. I'm not sure who they have at the helm or who advises them of this lending practices of lowering credit limits as consumers pay an account down for customers who ARE in good standing (no late payments, pay more than minimum payment and half low balances). I guess we can find comfort that they treat all their customers the sake whether you are in good or bad standing with them! They will lower your credit limit and close your account either way! I have had many accounts with them over the years and they have closed all of the ones with ZERO balances and lowered the credit limit of those that I was paying down. I will NEVER apply for another credit card with them. I will ask moving forward if they are the bank behind the card before I apply because my Belk, Venus and Care Credit cards, I do not know they were the lender or I would have never applied for credit because I know how they operated with my Victoria Secret and other department store accounts. They are not geared towards the consumer only for the benefit of themselves. Disappointing and to see the respond to post that they will reach out, I'm sure they haven't because they don't care.
